It is with great joy and enthusiasm that I bring to you another staged reading of my well received original one-woman play “Lost in Sound”! My debut performance in December “sold out” to a standing room only audience. I have been getting rave reviews and many inquires about when I am going to perform it again.
I love writing and performing. But I must admit that my greatest joy came after my performance; when I began hearing stories of how my play was helping others. One mother told me she had been in denial about her young son’s hearing loss. The day after seeing my play, she called and made an appointment with an audiologist. A man told me he could relate to how the characters felt, and it was comforting to know he was not alone in his struggles with hearing loss. One woman came up to me after the show with tears in her eyes. She confessed “My husband has hearing loss and I had no idea how difficult it has been for him. I learned so much and I have more empathy and compassion now…thank you.”
Lost in Sound will play for one night only at 8pm Friday, February 28th 2014. It will be at the Jewel Box Theater, 225 Iverson Street Poulsbo, WA 98370.
Admission for this show is $15, and advanced tickets are recommended at http://lostinsound.brownpapertickets.com. The debut performance last year was “sold out” and last minute tickets at the door are not guaranteed. No phone reservations or discount tickets are offered for this JBT performance.
( Accommodations for the Hard of Hearing will be available )
